  Programme
Wednesday 7th Registration is on site from midday at the rally field, allowing time for participants to catch up with friends, set up camp, book into hotels, B & B's etc. in the afternoon. The evening meal, & opening ceremony will be in the Brabazon Restaurant. There will be a bar available.
Thursday 8th The main event of the day will be a costume ride to Bucklers Hard. This short ride is mostly on a quiet level road & has been planned as suitable for virtually any type of machine. A picnic lunch will be provided at Bucklers Hard, where there is access to the village & all its attractions. We are also hoping to have press & TV in attendance for those who like to show off their machines & riding skills.
After Lunch we will return to the Motor Museum for the AGM, before the evening meal at the Brabazon. After the meal there will be a period costume display, with many different examples of clothing from the dawn of cycling onwards.
Friday 9th The main event of this day will be a short touring type ride to Lyndhurst, where we will be providing a picnic lunch. before you go & look round the town. On this ride costume is optional, & if you do not wish to ride all of it there are plenty of parking areas on route, some of which will be used as refreshment stops. Although not as easy a ride as the previous days, it has once again been planned in such as way that most riders & machines should be able to take part if they wish.
The cycle jumble, or flea market will be held back at Beaulieu after the ride, until it is time for the evening meal in the Brabazon.
Saturday 10th Todays activities will be based at the museum, & will include a Victorian style gymkhana, displays for the visiting public & of course the attempt of the Penny Stack Record, which has now been officially been recognised by Guinness World RecordsTM.
In the evening there will be a set gala meal (as opposed to the canteen style choice of the other nights) & live music, along with many of the other activities found on the last night of the rally.
Sunday 11th This is the day for the goodbyes & the final look round the museum etc. All the campers will have to leave the site on this day, although if they wish to extend their holiday there's plenty of local camp sites they can move to.

June 13-15 "The Great American Brass Band Festival," Danville, Kentucky, USA is keenly sought after by the very best Brass Bands in the World. I have known of outstanding bands waiting seven years just to be accepted. By happy serendipity, The Wheelmen have been an integral part of the GABBF since its inception eighteen years ago. We were asked to be part of the First GABBF, to provide some Victorian "color." In the succeeding years, the Wheelmen have not only started the parade, before the parade, we "entertain a very appreciative crowd" with several minutes of riding. The last few years we have had twelve ordinaries riding formation.
Friday night kicks off the weekend with a Hot Air Balloon Chase (with a free Barbeque Dinner for Balloonists and Wheelmen, who simulate high wheel races on the runway, before "lift-off").
Traditionally, The Olympia Brass Band, of New Orleans fame, ends the parade, followed by parade viewers, in a joyous march to Centre Park and "Main Stage." Throughout the weekend, outstanding bands perform at various venues around town, all a part of this glorious FREE Show, to crowds estimated at twenty thousand. GABBF ends with a Grand Fireworks Show after the last Main Stage performance.
To make it even more of a bargain for our overseas friends, Centre College provides participants free air- conditioned dormitory rooms. Space is limited, however. If you want to be part of GABBF, call Ohio Wheelmen Captain, Del Nichols 1-419-348-3715
